How do I find out if I’ve made the winning bid?

All winning bidders will be notified via email and a telephone call by Friday 6 May.

If I win, how do I pay?

After the online auction has ended at noon on Monday 2 May, a member of the Big Chocolate Tea team will be in touch directly to organise payment for your luxury afternoon tea experience.

When and how will I receive my afternoon tea voucher?

Once payment for your afternoon tea has been received, you will be sent your voucher, either by email or by post.

How do I claim my afternoon tea? 

You will need to contact the hotel directly to book your afternoon tea - all venues are subject to availability and must be pre-booked. Each voucher will include the contact details of the venue. Please note: all vouchers have different expiry dates. Please check before bidding. 

What does the money raised by The Big Chocolate Brownie Bid go towards?

Money raised from the online auction will go directly to The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity which supports families with seriously ill children in hospital, as part of its annual fundraising campaign - Big Chocolate Tea.

When do I have to have used the vouchers by?

Every hotel is different, so please check on the description/terms and conditions before bidding to ensure you will be available.

Auction Terms and Conditions

The Big Chocolate Brownie Bid auction will take place between 9am Friday 22 April until noon on Monday 2 May 2016.

During the auction each participant must go online to www.bigchocolatebrowniebid.com to place their bid.

Each participant will be required to register their details including full name, contact telephone number, contact email address and contact postal address in order to place a bid.

Bids for an auction item will only be taken during the bidding period.

All winning bidders will be notified via email and a telephone call by Friday 6 May.

Where a bid is successful in securing a complimentary afternoon tea, the participant will be contacted by The Big Chocolate Brownie Bid team for payment.

Payment for an item must be transferred via debit/credit card or bank transfer.

Payments for all auction lots must be completed by Friday 13 May 2016.

All Participants must ensure that, prior to placing a bid, they are able to pay for any item which they wish to bid for.

Participants must be 18 years of age or over and we reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

All matters relating to The Big Chocolate Brownie Bid auction will be at The Sick Children's Trust sole discretion.

The Big Chocolate Brownie Bid team reserves the right to reject a bid and offer the prize to the second highest bidder.
